Early Years           

It was great to see our new P.1 children come into the school on the first day of the new session with a smile on their face.  The class has at present 17 pupils in it.

The Nursery has 9 children at the moment.

Mrs Crawford has been appointed as P1-2 teacher with a one day a week commitment. The areas she will be responsible for is an area of maths, RME and Health.

Nursery children recently went on a sponsored walk to help raise funds for the construction of a Summer House.

P.3-5

A student has just started a period of work with the class.

The Egyptian topic was very popular. the next area of study for the children is Scotland. We will be looking at the geography and history of the country as well as culture, famous people and other aspects the children want to find out about.

A student will soon start work with the class and will come to observe the school soon.

P.5-7

The class are just about to begin a link with a school in lanarkshire and Norway. This is called the Northern Light Project.

The class received a talk from a community policeman on dangerous substances.

3 pupils in the class won prizes for a Road Safety poster competition.
